About Us

Welcome to our practice! Prior to your visit please have your packet filled out completely. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your new patient appointment and have your current medication list and insurance cards available. Also, be prepared to give a urine sample when you arrive. You will only need to give a urine sample on your first visit with us. We look forward to seeing you!

Sierra Nevada Nephrology Consultants (SNNC) is the largest nephrology practice in northern Nevada. We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of high blood pressure, kidney disease, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, as well as the preparation for and treatment of patients requiring kidney transplants.

Northern Nevada is home to one of the largest and fastest growing populations of diabetic patients in the country. Diabetes is a leading contributor to kidney disease, so we are seeing tremendous growth in chronic kidney disease among our residents. SNNC was established to serve this growing population of patients requiring long-term kidney care.

The practice was founded in 1982 and has grown steadily to address our region’s needs becoming the second largest nephrology group practice in the state of Nevada. SNNC has nine physicians and five nurse practitioners serving patients throughout Reno, Sparks, Carson City and the surrounding rural communities.

Our Mission

At Sierra Nevada Nephrology Consultants, we are committed to identifying and treating kidney disease early in its progression. With great courage and integrity, we embrace our responsibility to guide patients in making the right choices for their kidneys and their health, to ensure the best possible quality of life. We accomplish this by valuing people, partnerships, and high-quality performance.
